It is with great pride that we announce the creation for the 2025-2026 season of the Rapaces d'Orcières team, the fruit of a partnership between the resort of Orcières Merlette 1850 and the Rapaces de Gap professional club, one of the elite of French field hockey.
This new Division 3 team is made up of promising young players, some of them in the U20 category, who are attached to the Rapaces de Gap training center and whose ambition is to climb the ladder and one day join the famous Ligue Magnus.
Orcières Merlette 1850, the only resort in the Hautes-Alpes to boast a professional ice rink in its magnificent Palais des Sports complex, is keen to offer top-level field hockey matches, thereby contributing to the sporting vitality of the resort and to the discovery of this spectacular activity. It is therefore actively involved in financing this sporting adventure, offering residents, visitors and enthusiasts the opportunity to attend quality matches every week at its ice rink.
Wearing the colors of the Rapaces d'Orcières means proudly displaying the spirit of competition, commitment and conviviality that characterize both our resort and ice hockey. It also means supporting Gap's professional team, which has a long-standing partnership with Orcières Merlette 1850.
We can't wait to see this young team grow, progress and make Orcières vibrate to the rhythm of these matches!
