Personal Data Protection

PERSONAL DATA

This personal data protection policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") aims to explain the actions taken by SEMILOM RESORT, as the data controller, to ensure compliance with your rights. It also aims to clearly inform you about how your data is collected and used when you place an order with SEMILOM RESORT.

Respect for privacy, as well as your fundamental rights and freedoms, is extremely important to SEMILOM RESORT.

SEMILOM RESORT is committed to not transferring your personal data to third-party companies for commercial purposes, nor to communicate them to third parties without your consent, except for the obligations necessary for the provision of the products or services you have ordered.

This Policy is an integral part of the General Terms and Conditions of Use of this website. SEMILOM RESORT may make changes to this Policy. For this purpose, it is emphasized that the current version is the one, in French, available on this website. SEMILOM RESORT will inform you of any changes to this Policy either by posting them on this website or by any other means.

We use your personal data in the following cases, for the purposes and with the legal basis:

  • Identification data, such as your first name, last name, date of birth, and, where applicable, a photograph for the ski lift pass, or your ski lift pass support number;
  • Contact information, such as your postal address, telephone number, and email address;
  • Anonymous data related to your behavior and preferences online when browsing our website or third-party websites, or your connection data;
  • Data from your exchanges with SEMILOM RESORT (emails, satisfaction surveys...);
  • Data specific to the use of ski lifts operated by SEMILOM RESORT (name of the ski lift used, time and day of passage);
  • Data obtained with your consent and/or collected in accordance with what the regulations allow or require (contests, for example);
  • Data recipients: the data collected are used internally by the marketing and sales department to respond to your requests, deliver the service, and improve it.

You have, under the law, rights regarding your personal data. You can obtain further information and advice on your rights from the competent authority for data protection in your country (in France, the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés (CNIL: https://www.cnil.fr/). Your rights are as follows:

  • The right to information – You have the right to receive clear, transparent, and easily understandable information about how we use your data, and about your rights. That's why we provide you with this information through this privacy policy.
  • The right of access – You have the right to obtain access to your information (if we process it), and to certain other information (such as that provided here). The aim is to ensure that you are well aware and can verify that we are using your information in accordance with data protection laws.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to correct your information if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • The right to erasure – This right is also known as the "right to be forgotten" and, in simple terms, it allows you to request the erasure or deletion of your data when there is no compelling reason for us to continue to use it. However, this is not a general right to erasure of data and there are exceptions.
  • The right to restriction of processing – You have the right to "block" or stop any further use of your information. When processing is restricted, we can store it but cannot continue to use it. We keep a list of people who have requested that further use of their data be blocked, to ensure compliance with the restriction.
  • The right to data portability – You have the right to obtain and reuse your personal data for your own purposes and in other services. This allows you to move them, copy them, or transfer them easily between our computer systems and third parties securely, without affecting their ability to be used.
  • The right to object – You have the right to object to certain types of processing, including processing for direct marketing purposes (which is only possible with your consent).
  • The right to lodge a complaint – You have the right to complain about how we process or manage your personal data to the competent national authority (in France, the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés (CNIL: https://www.cnil.fr/).
  • The right to withdraw your consent – If you have given your consent to the processing or use of your personal data, you can withdraw it at any time (although, if you do, it does not mean that everything we have done with your consent until that date was illegal). This includes your right to withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data for commercial purposes.

We respond to requests and provide information free of charge; however, we may charge reasonable fees to cover our administrative costs for repeated requests.

We may also be entitled to refuse to comply with a request. Please consider your request responsibly before submitting it. We will respond to it as soon as possible, generally within one month from the date of receipt; but if processing the request takes longer, we will let you know.
